| Andrea's television broadcasting career began one year after Mr. Bo Barredo said six words to her that would forever change the direction of her life. And those words were, “You need to go into broadcasting.” In the late spring of 2003, Andrea hosted her first program for the Charlottesville Public Access Television station. |

| Her ability to carry a show and capture an audience did not go unnoticed by the station manager. He recommended she produce her own show. And she did. December 2004, Speaking with Andrea was born. As time went on, Andrea recognized that her call to this ‘career’ had a greater purpose; a purpose she often shares on and off camera to motivate and encourage others. |

| In 2009,
Andrea founded Positive Channels. Positive Channels produces television programs that impact our communities in a positive way. Additionally, it promotes the use of positive communication in every form, encourages entrepreneurship and provides hands-on training opportunities for youth seeking a career in television broadcasting. |

| We've expanded our reach in a tremendous way since becoming part of the social networking scene. As a result, Positive Channels’ website and productions are now being viewed throughout the country and abroad.

| Andrea is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia and graduate of Old Dominion University.
Throughout her professional career she has held positions in the fields of human services and education, having a love for teaching and inspiring others to learn. Andrea continues to be very involved in her community. She is an active member and supporter of her church, Casa del Padre (Father’s House), as well as other professional and civic groups. |
